Where will I move?
I've recently decided to move to another state, living in an area where hurricanes choose to visit often, is getting old.
I work for a large telecommunication company, and every now and again, positions open up, and I want one. Recently I've applied for a couple of positions, but with my NSC date, i didn't make the cut, but Im still trying, I was offered Mississippi, a service technician spot in Macon, MS, but I'm holding out for a Digital Technician position. All recent positions are in Alabama, in Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, and Decatur. I missed out on Hammond,La (DT), not enough seniority, Snellville, Ga (DT), surplus in the area, but I was offered Mississippi, but I have to hold out for more pay, and a airport nearby.
Currently I'm a manager, but a lack of OT is not cutting it, so it will be a climb, to sell my house, live apart from my family, working in unfamiliar territory, flying back and forth, but it will payoff in the end.
Here goes nothing! Wish me luck.

Wine and Song
It has a been a long week, I couldn't get by without my musical devices. Work has become so stressful lately, that my only relief has been increased volume, of my expensive headphones (my old lady keeps reminding me of) that is, she should be thrilled that they are not the $1300 kind (after winning the lottery I guess).
This is the first time I blog with my tank on 3/4s. I'm very fond of the Sterling Vinter's Collection Cabernet Sauvignon, lately, and I thought it would be interesting to try and type a few meaningful sentences with a floating bobble head, and an ear of electronic magic. Here goes nothing, Literally.
Sorry, but the TV is on..Angelina Jolie is a little too much, Brad, how did she get out that room? Damn starving people.
Now that Megan Fox, What UP, sorry Access Hollywood is on, can't hear, but who needs too?
I recently was turned onto a new band, actually by the band, on Myspace. I'm not quite sure how they found me, but thank you. J Minus found me, and I'm hooked, I heard 3 songs and puchased 2 albums on iTunes shortly after. It's a wonderful thing, when someone collects thoughts and notes and some how, instantly describes emotions and feelings of the receiving sponge.
J Minus can be compared to the softer side of The Counting Crowes, and the mixture of instruments of Dave Matthew's Band, and the tranquility of Cold Play.
(I'm correcting myself every third letter, numbness not recommended when blogging.)
I will never underestimate the power of song, ex. Fast---->Get up, Let's Move, Getting ready for an event. Slow---->Relax, Too Long, In the Mood, Closer, Emotional, Forget, Escape. Mixture----> Warm up, Get In the Mood, Uncertain,
(Nothing, I warned you)
I am a music lover, don't expect much(come on.. the title).
All I gotta say is "Bubble Tea No Bubble", many artists don't often show fun sides, but this track was appreciated, so funny.
Show J Minus some Love, and treat yourself to these two albums, available on iTunes.
"Sun and Moon"
"Mr. Robotron on the Byway"
or visited them at

Well finished 1 bottled, good thing I bought 4, feeling room for at least another half a B
Good Evening

Settle-Less
Watching a recent episode of "House" got me thinking, being a deep thinker, often I find myself building list in my head, accomplishments that can be obtained with just a little effort, some require changes with many IFs and uncertainties, and I wish I would, JUST DO IT!
In many ways I'm like Gregory House, Lack of emotion, Getting high is easier than dealing with it, and logically offend others, but unaware. One exception is, going with the flow, no ripples, very passive, but I want to be a millionaire dammit.
A friend and I have a business venture in the works, computer repair, I'm very fond of computers, they talk a lot less than humans, but still let you know whats wrong. I can drink, smoke, scream, and sit down in front of them, starring, smiling, and have a good time, without saying a word. To make money though, risks have to be taken, and always be a up-beat people person, but I'm ready..Settle-Less.
For instance, Video Games, the best part is being someone or somewhere different. I would love to book a trip to Peru and climb to the top of Machu Picchu, or friday night hit a rave, or turn up the Bose 901s til the pictures are dancing along, but what would the family rather do, so I just daydream of these things, while sitting in front of this 27" monitor, with headphones blaring. I guess I'm a video game junkie, but content. So when I may not answer you, or have a blank gaze, or looks if though I'm really interested in something, it's the clouds I'm on.
Not much of tech blog, but I will learn to settle less, One Day!

Ubuntu

I recently purchased an Dell Inspiron 9, its' a mini Notebook computer with an 8.9" screen, weighing in at 2.23lbs. I opted for Linux Ubuntu OS (operating system), and I have to say it works really well, and the best thing, its free (Open Source). I have tried different Linux distros before, and a lot of manual installation of media type software was involved. When I say manual, its not clicking an *.exe file, and waiting for the setup, code must be entered from a command prompt.
Ubuntu is making it easier for everyday Windows users, to feel some what at home. Its' interface is more like Mac OS X, than Windows, but I feel a Mac user is a Mac user, and some Windows users may be searching for a change. I personally still have needs for all three, Mac for iTunes and Video Editing, Windows for Games and trying new software, and Linux for ease of installs on multiple machines and Gimp for photo editing.
Ubuntu, did I mention its' free...lol, its' more like Mac, because it comes loaded with enough applications for most everyday users. If your computing needs are, surfing the web, editing photos, watching DVDs, listening to music, and Office applications like Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, all can be accomplished with Ubuntu Linux without installing 1 application. It does not come with Microsoft Office, but Open Office, that can open, cedit, and save MS Office files.
If you have an Old PC, and another with PC with a Burner, download Ubuntu 8.10, burn it to a CD, and check it out.
